Harborough Enterprise Centre - Managing Operator and Investment Partner
Public sector partners Leicestershire County Council (LCC), East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA), The Welland Sub-Regional Strategic Partnership (WSSP), Leicester Shire Economic Partnership (LSEP) and Harborough District Council (HDC) are committed to delivering economic regeneration programmes to improve the local economy within Leicestershire. Part of this programme involves the construction of the Harborough Enterprise Centre (HEC) to provide workspace to knowledge focussed, value added new and mature businesses. The Centre will form a focal point/hub for local business to access business support. HEC will be the only specialist building of its kind in the Harborough district.
The built-for-purpose Centre is due to be constructed during 2008 and 2009, on the Compass Point Business Park in Market Harborough, and become operational during 2009 and 2010. The Partners are seeking to identify and appoint a suitable managing operator for the Centre and an investment partner to invest approximately £3.2 million in the Centre prior to construction.
