The Intelligent Landscape
The Intelligent Landscape strategy presents a vision of a vibrant successful knowledge economy for Leicester and Leicestershire in 2010. We envisage a sub-regional high-speed digital communications infrastructure used as a matter of course by individuals and business, skilled in the use and application of ICT, and served by efficient public services delivered electronically.

Next Steps
The Intelligent Landscape strategy is a working document providing the blueprint for delivering wealth and prosperity in Leicestershire through the development of a knowledge economy. It is the starting point for action and will be reviewed regularly with partners given the rapid pace of change of ICT.
Background
The LSEP commissioned DTZ Pieda Consulting in October 2003 to help it develop an ICT strategy for City and County that would help to improve the sub-region's economic performance and remove some of social divisions that exist.
We spoke with many individuals and organisations and undertook a series of consultation workshops which proved to be very popular and very constructive. For more infomation on the base research and conultation, see the link above
