Specific Funding Criteria for Sustainable Communities

Proposals have focused on the following priorities, whilst also linking with the other priorities of bringing excluded sectors of the community back into the labour market:

1. Drawing upon good practice in achieving economic sustainability in areas of multiple regeneration from current regeneration programmes.
2. Working closely with Local Strategic Partnerships in pursuing ideas within their emerging or completed Community Strategies which can promote the local economy including affordable housing for city workers.
3. Encouraging enterprises which promote the environmental sustainability agenda.
