Leicester Digital Village

Leicester’s Digital Village aims to provide new employment opportunities through incubator and managed workspace units and business support facilities for the digital media sector.

The Digital Village will be a creative centre for new technology in the areas of film, entertainment, art, enterprise, research and education. It will be supported by De Montfort University's research and academic provision in the creative industries. The development of the Digital Village, will also aid the development of creative industries within Leicester and the development of residential units.

It will be based in the St Georges area of Leicester, and is a part of the regeneration of the site, commonly known as the Cultural Quarter. The development will complement the aims of the workspace and the Digital Village and will help create a vibrant mixed use community which has home, work and leisure facilities all on one site.

All elements of the Digital Village will be equipped with the very latest broadband ICT facilities, all of which will be available to tenants as well as surrounding businesses on an outreach basis.
