Background
In 2003/4, the LSEP commissioned two pieces of research: the intelligent Landscape, an ICT strategy for Leicester Shire; and a report on the engagement of SMEs with public sector procurement.

This project will allow both pieces of research to be widely disseminated and discussed through the setting up and running of two conferences.

The Intelligent Landscape Strategy
This project will enable the strategy to be widely distributed to both the public and private sector and for their contribution, through a conference with facilitated workshops, to the development of an action plan for the collective delivery of the ICT strategy.

The Procurement Conference
The procurement conference will enable public sector agencies and SMEs to learn of new initiatives in procurement and to discuss the issues of how the public sector and Leicester Shire SMEs can work more closely together to benefit the local economy.
