Website
The LSEP is contributing to the building, use and marketing of a website targeted at South Asian Media producers.

These producers will be able to plan their journey to the UK online, book their travel and accomodation and scout for locations without leaving their desk.

Talent
More importantly, they will be able to see the breadth of Leicester talent available to them: the site will carry information about individuals or companies interested in working with producers. In addition, musicians, set designers, costume suppliers, dancers, extras and caterers will all be able to post and update their details on the site for all to see.

We hope that bookings for all services will increase as a result and boost the local creative economy.

Outcomes

Workshops
• To ensure the website works to the best of its ability, we will be holding workshops in and around Leicester, promoting the initiative, but also enrolling up to 80 individuals and companies to sell their services online.

• Enrolled companies will benefit from a free ICT workshop, which will include advice on trading online and 'signposting' to other resources available to increase or improve their use of thechnology.

Launch and monitoring
• We will be monitoring use of the site and are looking for an increase in trade for those registered companies and individuals within six months of the launch.

• There will be two launches: a local, 'soft' launch, aiming to enroll local companies and a public launch targeted at invited South Asian media producers on an inward trade mission in the late autumn.
