Author
Background Entrepreneurs Striving for Partnership (ESP) is a non-profit networking organisation for ethnic minority businesses. It has brought together many new and existing entrepreneurs and introduced peer-learning in informed surroundings. The group has further progressed into monthly meetings with themed speakers and further opportunities for learning.
Expansion of membership and services
The current membership stands at 30 paying members plus 40 regular attendants. ESP now wishes to expand its membership base and service provision among Leicestershire businesses, providing a more structured service.
ESP aims to develop the network further and appeal to a wider market, assisting business start-ups and existing SMEs in learning and mentoring.
Website
ESP plans to create a web presence and develop an online directory of its members.
Outcomes
Creation of website and members'directory
• ESP would like to increase its membership and form a more structured approach to members' requirements, producing tools to aid their growth.
• It proposes to achieve this by creating a web presence and by preparing a members' directory for added membership value.
• The directory will initially be available in hard copy with an online version to follow.
