Innovation and entrepreneurialism within textiles

The UK Conference for the EU funded Innotex Project is to be held at Pera Innovation, Melton Mowbray on Wednesday 23rd January from 10am – 4pm.

The conference will report on technical textiles and advanced materials in terms of innovation and entrepreneurialism in, Denmark, Aragon (Spain), Estonia and Leicestershire with partners from LeicesterShire Economic Partnership, De Montfort University and Pera. The project aims to bring companies together through best practice and innovation.

Speakers will cover the marine sector in Demark, protective clothing in Spain and automotive textiles in Estonia while the UK speakers will report on the support for technical textiles in the British Midlands. Case studies will also be given by companies who have made the move into technical textiles or have begun their business in this sector.

Companies from Denmark, Spain and Estonia will also be attending the conference and these together with the projects partners will provide an ideal international networking opportunity.
